More than 20 local residents were in attendance at the Croudace Bay Sports Complex on Thursday 1 February, to find out more information from Council staff on the draft Croudace Bay Sports Complex Master Plan.
The Croudace Bay Sports Complex has been identified as a site capable of having an extra grass field and an extra tennis court in its current footprint. Due to high participation rates in netball locally, an extra court at this site is also proposed.
Further information about the draft Plan and opportunities to provide comment can be found here. The public exhibition closes Friday 16 February.

Lake Macquarie City Council is inviting feedback from the community on the draft Croudace Bay Sports Complex Master Plan.
Council’s Acting Manager Community Planning, Wes Hain, said the draft Plan sets out a vision for the future development of the sporting facilities at Croudace Bay.
“Council is committed to providing modern sporting facilities that support the needs of our growing community,” Mr Hain said.
The draft Plan details new and improved sports field surfaces, sports courts and lighting as well as proposing new and refurbished amenity buildings to service the courts and fields. The draft Plan also includes additional car parking spaces and paths throughout the complex.
The development works will enhance the range of sporting opportunities accommodated at the complex for residents of Lake Macquarie City and the Hunter Region, now and into the future.
“The enhancement of the multi-functional sporting precinct at Croudace Bay will help us to nurture local talent as well as provide our community with numerous sport and recreational opportunities.”
