Lake Macquarie City Council recognises the importance of active lifestyles and wellbeing. We have been developing a range of strategies that contribute towards our goal that Lake Macquarie is a place that encourages safe, active and social opportunities, including open spaces and facilities that are inclusive and adaptable.

Our Active Recreation Strategy will guide the future provision of open spaces, facilities and initiatives to support participation in active recreation for health and wellbeing.
