Will the playground be built on the existing footprint?
Yes. Aboriginal heritage and the existing soil type mean we can’t dig too deep for equipment footings and we have to use the existing footprint.
It’s a neighbourhood playground, so it’s a similar, like-for-like replacement.
What ages will the playground cater for?
We’re catering for ages 2-12 with inclusive and accessible play equipment.
When will construction start?
Construction is expected to commence in early 2021, once we've received feedback on the community's preference.
What other improvements is Council making in the area?
We'll be undertaking a car park upgrade and access improvements at the Bennett Park boat ramp.
