What are Paper Roads?

Whilst the roads appear on paper in the original subdivision plan, these ‘paper roads’ were never constructed.

What is the status of the ‘paper roads’ in the Buttaba Hills estate?

The ‘paper roads’ were not opened or dedicated as public roads.  They are private roads and remain in the name of the original subdivider of the estate, Frank Halloran, who passed away in 1931 without a will.

The presumed beneficiaries of Mr Halloran’s estate are working with the members of the Buttaba Hills South Action Group to progress an application to the Supreme Court for orders confirming their entitlement to ownership of the paper roads.
