Shaping the Future– Lake Mac’s Local Strategic Planning Statement identifiesour planning goal for Lake Macquarie City to be one of the most productive, adaptable, sustainable and liveable places in Australia. The plan aims to focus growth in the City’s economic centres to allow more people to live closer to the services and facilities they need.
To help achieve these planning goals, we are currently reviewing the planning framework for Charlestown Strategic Economic Centreand Gateshead Local Centre.We want to make Charlestownand Gatesheadeven better places to live, visit, work, and invest in.
We recently asked the community to drop a pin on the map below and comment on the places they love most within these centres, ideas for changes, or places thatfeel unsafe or unpleasant in the area.
Thank you to everyone who gave feedback - your comments will be used to help inform changes to the planning framework.
