Council is currently proposing amendments to the Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan 2014 (LMDCP 2014) . LMDCP 2014 contains guidance for the design and assessment of development in the City. Council regularly revises LMDCP 2014 to ensure it performs appropriately, to provide additional development guidance where needed and to address issues or errors.

The amendment was adopted by Council at the Development and Planning Standing Committee on 14 September 2020. The amendment will come into effect at 4 January 2020 in order to allow a grace period for new geotechnical controls.
Effective date 4 January 2021
this is an upcoming stage for Development Control Plan 2014 - Amendments
