The draft Dogs in Public Open Space Procedure outlines ways to cater for the city’s growing canine population. We’ve taken into consideration not only the needs and desires of pet owners, but of others in the community who don’t own a dog.
The draft Procedure builds upon our Dogs in Open Space Policy, adopted by Council on 28 May 2018. This policy came as a result of extensive community consultation and feedback.
