Thank you for having your say about what Council does and the issues we will focus on over the next financial year.

Council exhibited its Draft Operational Plan 2016-2017 and Draft Fees and Charges until 30 April 2016.Thank you for providing your feedback - submissions have now closed.

All feedback was acknowledged and considered in the final documents, which Council adopted in May. See a snapshot of community participation.


We’re focusing our total budget of more than $316 million on six key areas of high priority and importance to the community.



Here’s a taste of just some of the expenditure and major projects you can expect to be delivered:· More than $25 million on road resurfacing and rehabilitation

· More than $9.8 million on extending the life of the Awaba Waste Management Facility

· More than $6.6 million on new parks and park upgrades

· More than $2.1 million on kerb and gutter projects

· More than $1.5 million on new footpaths and on and off street cycleways
