Draft Community and Cultural Facilities Strategy

North Creek Flood Study

<a href="https://shape.lakemac.com.au/89873/widgets/420897/documents/272276">The draft Community Land Plan of Management</a> has been developed to determine and guide the future management of community and Crown land included in the plan. It acts as an agreement between Council and the community as to how a place is to be managed and its values protected. Current uses and activities are identified and future use and activities, including leases and licenses, are approved by a plan of management.Council is inviting community feedback on the draft Community Land Plan of Management. The plan of management has been approved by Council and the Department of Planning and Environment for public exhibition. <a href="https://shape.lakemac.com.au/embeds/projects/89873/survey-tools/100134">Submissions</a> on the draft Community Land Plan of Management are invited and can be submitted via the link below up to 18 December 2023.A public hearing will be held as required under the NSW Local Government Act (1993). Council have made amendments to the Schedule of Fees and Charges 2023-2024 to align with relevant legislation and Council&rsquo;s operational requirements. To view the fee amendments, refer to document titled &lsquo;<a href="https://shape.lakemac.com.au/89626/widgets/419869/documents/270930">Attachment 1 Amendments to Fees and Charges 2023-2024</a>&rsquo;.Submissions closed Tuesday 21 November 2023. The Schedule of Fees and Charges 2023-2024 will go to a Council meeting on Monday 11 December 2023 for adoption.

An amendment has been made to the Lake Macquarie Development Control Plan 2014 (LMDCP 2014) to provide guidance about the existing approval pathway and criteria that future development applications would have to address when seeking to vary the minimum lot size in environmental and rural zoned land.Submissions closed Wednesday 15 November 2023.

Lake Macquarie is the heart of our city, and we want to make sure it&#39;s accessible for everyone to enjoy.Boat ramps are the most used lake infrastructure in our city; you&#39;ll find one every 5.5km on average along our lake foreshore.Some of these highly-used assets are ageing, resulting in unplanned maintenance and closures, which impact our community&#39;s ability to get out and enjoy the lake.We want to understand how you use our boat ramps so we can better plan for future maintenance and upgrades.Tell us how you use our boat ramps by completing our <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/boat-ramps">user survey</a> by 15 December 2023.
