Thank you for all of the responses we received to help inform our inaugural Homelessness Plan. All contributions have been reviewed and the consultation summary is now uploaded for your information. It is expected following further focused engagement the draft Plan will be presented to Council for exhibition in early 2021.

Access to safe and secure shelter is a basic human right. We’ve taken the Hunter Ending Homelessness Pledge and adopted a Homelessness Policy Commitment taking action to end homelessness in Lake Macquarie.

Using evidence based, long-term solutions and a connection to our community, we'll work collaboratively with our community and local services to ensure people suffering with homelessness have the opportunity to thrive.
