Great interest in supporting the library. Come to U3A meditation uses the meeting room at Belmont. It is important community facility. Could you look at sound equipment being available in the meeting room?

Think the staff do a great job

Uses meeting room - sound system would be a good improvement. A cafe would be great in Belmont library. Can generally find a good book to take home and staff really helpful to locate a good read.

Have had some issues with audio books not being in great condition. Some multi function spaces in the library to allow for small groups chatting, watching media, etc...

being involved with local artists - exhibiting and also conducting workshops would be a nice idea

Love reading come to library once a week - hoping to join book club. No problem finding authors and genres to read. Daughter uses library and computers. Parking not an issue at the site. Plan a visit to library with other business I am doing in town.

Would love some more comfy seating round the place like some big cushions - would also be great if you thought about a cafe

Come to kids programs at Belmont and came to babies and books which was on two days a week which was great. DVDs, books, CDs all borrowed from the library. Would be great to see more puppet shows on at the library. No probs with access and can walk to the library. Loving reservation system - can find what I want most of the time.

Suggestion for catalogue - add a "did you mean" to help with spelling and typing on catalogue

Long time user Belmont library since it was located on the highway. Attend programs with grandchildren and borrow items. You like the current location and the ramp helps access for friends and family that may have mobility issues. Easier to park now that funeral home has relocated from highway. Also attend library for U3A courses and come to school holiday programs with grandchildren. Bigger DVD and CD collection would be good. Maybe adding cafe to the library would be a good idea. Have you thought about putting advertising or bonus/coupon in the local entertainment book sold through schools etc...

Can we have a drive way next to the service station and exit on Minmi Rd. Rate payers own the land of the current library location and community hall.

Can council approach RMS to lengthen the timing of pedestrian lights - crossing time is too short and creates panic.

I'm concerned that going to location across the rent would be very expensive for council. Library representation northwest of Glendale cross roads is not as strong as in other areas of the city. The population is growing eg Cameron Park and requires better services. The best thing Council has done is... Continue reading

    Edgeworth Library - BaRK program

by lakemac1, almost 9 years ago

BaRK is a fantastic program and the highlight of our week. Found out about it through school. If the library moved we would still visit. More space would be really good especially a study space. Really has become a really big focus now. Parking and traffic has become dangerous. Staff are fantastic and kids are really comfortable with asking staff for books.

I started visiting this library 10 years ago and even though we've moved to Fishing Point I still visit Edgeworth because of the book club and the staff. The book club is very well run and staff are brilliant. Annual visit to Sydney Writers Festival is fantastic and above and beyond the call of duty. The book club has allowed me to expand the authors and genres that I read. I don't buy fiction books any more as I can get them at the library. I love the relaxed but efficient running of the library. More space would be lovely... Continue reading

Read and Rhyme and special storytimes for play group and my son loves books, sometimes the selection can be limited but we do reserve titles. Haven't tried school holiday activities as age appropriate events are limited.

Location is convenient as library is within walking distance. A larger space would be better and more school holiday events for 7-10 years olds. The staff are wonderful and make it easy for us to come and enjoy books. Schools relationship with the library is great and helps us get into a routine of borrowing.
