Council adopted the Local Adaptation Plan for Pelican, Blacksmiths, Swansea, Swansea Heads and Caves Beach on 25 October 2021. You can view the Council report here.

Volumes one and two have been published on Council's strategies and plans web page.


The Local Adaptation Plan will allow Council and the community to adapt Pelican, Blacksmiths, Swansea, Swansea Heads and Caves Beach to the projected effects of sea level rise and issues associated with inundation, flooding, drainage, sewerage and major storm hazards.

The community were invited to make a submission via the online form below or by downloading a submission form and sending it by mail. Thank you to everyone who made a submission during the formal exhibition.
