The draft Precinct Area Plan for Mount Hutton is a review of the current Precinct Area Plan which was first approved by Council in 2004. The current plan requires updating to recognise changes in population growth and infrastructure needs including improved pedestrian and cycleway access to shops and recreation facilities. The updated plan outlines the desired future character and development potential of the area, including the preservation and protection of important flora and fauna habitat.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for local residents to comment on the proposed draft Precinct Area Plan.

The draft Precinct Area Plan (if adopted by the Council) will replace the current Precinct Area Plan for Mount Hutton and be placed into the Development Control Plan (DCP) 2014.  Future development will rely on the new Precinct Area Plan for direction and specific development controls.

There are a number of proposed infrastructure projects. These projects include upgrades to roads, roundabouts, pedestrian facilities and cycleways, and recreational upgrades. There are also potential proposed road links which depend of the future development of the Mount Hutton area. The proposed changes are highlighted in the draft Precinct Area Plan at Figure 5 Transportation Structure Map, which provides details of where the proposed changes are to occur. Funding for the proposed works will be sourced from Developer Contributions received by Council.
