The Culturally Diverse Lake Mac Plan 2021-2024 was adopted by Council on 28 June 2021. Thank you for all of the responses we received to help inform the draft Plan.

Lake Mac is home to a rich multicultural community. We support equal rights and respect for all Lake Mac residents.

Did you know that more than 10 per cent of people in Lake Mac were born overseas? Or that one in 20 speak a language other than English at home?

The Strategy seeks to provide an inclusive and welcoming community for people moving to Lake Macquarie from outside of Australia or those who identify as having multicultural heritage, such as second or third generation migrants.

Consultation closed 20 April 2021.
