Thank you to everyone who submitted a project as part of the NSW Government My Community Project. The project received a great response with more than 60,000 people voting for their favourite projects. 248 projects across the state received support from their community to be funded.

Life Cycle
Now until 21 April: Community members submit project ideas to Council

Council's submission form is based on information that we need to help us assess a project idea. The grant application, yet to be released by the NSW Government, may require different information.
21 April - 1 May: Council assesses the project ideas it receives
My Community Project has finished this stage
Council will only sponsor projects that:
align with an adopted Council
plan or strategy;
are deliverable within 12 months of receipt of grant;
are deliverable by you within the proposed budget; and
are a priority project as identified through Council’s community
consultation.
Early May: Council staff advise community members which projects have been shortlisted.

Early May-15 May: Community members and Council staff work together on submitting shortlisted applications to the NSW Government's My Community Project portal
My Community Project has finished this stage
All applications for My Community Project must be submitted online via the SmartyGrants online system. Applications close at 2pm on 15 May 2019 and late submissions will not be accepted. The application is a two-part process. As the sponsor, Council will be required to complete Part 2 of the application.
16 May - 14 July: NSW Government review projects submitted

15 July - 15 August: Voting opens for every project all 93 NSW electorates

Voting goes live on 15 July 2019 and is open to everyone 16 years or over in NSW.
September: NSW Government announces successful projects

Successful projects will be announced in September 2019. If you are successful, you will receive the funding and be required to complete the project within 12 months. You can view successful projects by visiting the project page.
