Draft Operational Plan and budget 2024-2025

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on our draft Operational Plan and budget 2024-2025. Submissions closed on 22 April 2024.

A report recommending adoption of the draft Operational Plan and budget 2024-2025 is expected to be presented to Council in late May 2024.

Our Operational Plan outlines the actions and projects Council will undertake to achieve the strategies in our revised Delivery Program 2022-2026 and objectives defined in the Lake Macquarie City Community Strategic Plan 2017-2027.

In 2024-2025, Council will deliver more than $100 million in capital works including:

• $2.2 million on beach and aquatic facilities
• $15 million on bridges
• $34.7 million on community and sporting facilities
• $2.6 million on footpaths, cycleways and shared paths
• $500,000 on emergency services support
• $1.4 million on environmental enhancement
• $900,000 on libraries and cultural facilities
• $2.9 million on parks and playgrounds
• $21.9 million on road resealing, resurfacing and rehabilitation
• $4.1 million on stormwater and drainage
• $6.7 million on traffic and transport
• $3.4 million on waste management
• $23.3 million on other projects to support the works program
