Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback during this consultation. The project team are currently reviewing all feedback and will report back in early 2021.
With over 140 parks and 114 playgrounds throughout Lake Mac, no matter who you are, everyone likes to play in our backyard.
That's why we are developing a Parks and Play Strategy so that we can continue to provide parks, play spaces and public amenities that meet the recreational needs of our community.
Everyone who provides feedback has a chance to win an iPad or Galaxy tab.
The Strategy will focus on council managed parks and open spaces that provide for informal and non-organised outdoor recreation. These are the spaces and places you go to for relaxation, picnics with friends and family, informal exercise, children’s and adults play, reconnecting with nature and enjoying the outdoors.
Specific facilities such as outdoor gym equipment, skate parks, BMX tracks and off-leash dog exercise areas are not included in this Strategy.
To provide feedback you can complete this survey or join the below discussion forums. Alternatively, when visiting your favourite park or playground you can take a photo and tell us why you like that space using the hashtag #letsplayinLakeMac.
