Make a mark on Charlestown Skate Park

Want to help shape and name your local skate park? On Thursday 1 March, Council, in partnership with Eastlake Youth Centre, will host a workshop for youth to engage with artist David Cianci, to identify themes that will be used in the artworks to be installed around the soon-to-be-built Charlestown Skate Park.

The workshop is a great opportunity for young skaters, BMX and scooter riders to give fresh ideas on what should be showcased at Charlestown Skate Park. The night will include free pizza and refreshments, there will be Charlestown Square entertainment passes to be won, and a ‘Name the Skate Park’ competition.

For more information, check out the Facebook event, and be sure to click ‘going’ to let us know you’ll be there. To learn more about our plans for the new Charlestown Skate Park, visit shape.lakemac.com.au/skate-lake-mac.

Date: Thursday 1 March 2018

Time: 6.30-9pm

Venue: The Place Charlestown Community Centre, corner of Frederick and Pearson Street
