Plan for play at Charlestown Lions Park

Lake Macquarie City Council would like to hear the community’s thoughts on plans for a new park at Charlestown Lions Park.

Council’s Manager Community Planning, John Ferguson, said the Plan will help to transform Charlestown Lions Park into a popular park for local residents.

“We’ve developed a concept design for the park that we believe will provide for the growing population in Charlestown and meet the recreational needs of this community,” Mr Ferguson said.

“We’re asking for the community to review the proposed plan and let us know what features they like, don’t like or would like to see as part of the upgrade.”

The concept design for the park includes relocating the war memorial and retaining the sister city garden, and the installation of new linking paths, car parking, toilet block, playground, fenced multi-courts, table tennis and landscaping.
