The engagement summary for this project is now available to view.

Located adjacent to Cameron Park Plaza, Sugar Valley Library Museum will be at the forefront of public libraries in the region and feature a museum collection showcasing local history.

Community input will help us finalise the concept designs for Sugar Valley Library Museum and help shape future programming.

The ultimate aim is to deliver an enhanced library experience based at Cameron Park where people of all ages can come together to learn, create and connect.

It will also be home to Edgeworth Library services and collections, which will relocate to the new facility when operational in late 2022 /early 2023.

    Thank you for your questions.

All spaces within the building are compliant to regulations regarding wheel chair access.

The design presented is a concept and we value all feedback received as it helps us to further develop the plan. As part of this concept we are investigating 4-6 public access PCs in the Sugar Valley Library Museum, as well as a number of bring your own device areas. This will include facilities and databases for family history research. The layout of the family history area will continue to be developed to ensure that all required resources can be accessed.

We are further investigating the placement of the children’s space to ensure it is suitable for other patrons.

    Kind regards,

    The Project Team

Yes, we are working to include a family history hub at the front of the museum space that will include computer access, family history resources and space for research and viewing material. Any feedback on what else should be included in this space is welcomed!

    Kind regards, The Project Team

The new facility will be located at the corner of Portland and Northridge Drive, Cameron Park. This is adjacent to Cameron Park Plaza.
