Veronica Place is a pilot project that will see a temporary park structure be trialled at the intersection of Veronica Street and Main Road, Cardiff.
Council will be establishing a community reference group to obtain advice from the community and businesses about how we can amend the current Veronica Place concept design to provide a quality public space for the community and support local business needs. Further information regarding the process to nominate an expression of interest to participate in the reference group will be provided in the coming weeks.
Council received $496,470 as part of the NSW Government's Streets as Shared Spaces program to trial the Veronica Place pilot program in Cardiff. The trial will facilitate the installation of attractive, flexible outdoor space, including trees, planter boxes, tables and seating, as well as an informal stage area and public art. Small activations will be scheduled to occur in the space during the trial period.
