Council adopted the draft Volunteer Engagement Strategy 2021-2024 on Monday 27 September 2021. Thank you to everyone who made a submission during the exhibition process, you can now view the Engagement Summary.
This Strategy is the first volunteer strategy for our city. Council is fortunate to have a large and dedicated group of volunteers already engaged in volunteering, and recent years have highlighted the critical role volunteers play in our communities. Whether it’s through spontaneous volunteering in response to disasters, stewardship of the local environment or looking after community facilities, volunteers are the backbone of our community.
The strategy will provide a framework to help attract new volunteers and enhance the experience for all volunteers into the future.
