    A Park for All Ages

by Sunnisha, over 7 years ago

    Hi

I would like to suggest the park has play equipment for small children/toddlers and for older children. Toddlers find the existing steps and bridge too hard to manage and the equipment doesn't challenge older children who climb all over the tunnel slippery dip.

One thing I have noticed when there is toddler and older children park space is they put the equipment too far away from each other, so if you have a toddler and then a 5 year old you can't be near them at the same time.

More swings would be great. One of those spider webby... Continue reading

    Improve the park for Toddlers

by Sibley, over 7 years ago

it would be great if the wood chips could be removed and resurfaced with the material that is used at Blackbutt Reserve, Carnley Avenue entrance. Also it would be nice to have some form of shade over part of the equipment. In saying that the equipment has been a lot cleaner since a few of the trees have been removed. The fort needs to be more accessible for between 2 - 3 year olds.

The toilet block needs to be upgraded as it is dark and dingy and dirty! Do they get cleaned? It is too far to walk to... Continue reading

    Introduce a bit of adventure

by Vince Sunter, over 7 years ago

There are some quite safe adventure style rides being developed around the world and the country, it would be great if a portion of the park could be dedicated to such activities. eg flying fox and enclosed climbing. This would tend to hold people in the area for longer, but would need improved access in the form of decent proximate parking to really get the benefits of better facilities.

    Family picnic base

by Deane, over 7 years ago

Hi there, we use your park often and would love to see BBQs for a family day and some cover from the sun.

And to encourage fitness i would love love to see some bodyweight circuit exercise machines, ie chin up bar, dips, push up, and box jumps all in various sizes for the kids to participate.

A water park would be amazing but that depends on your budget.

Thanks for getting everyone involved, cant wait to see more.

    Shade and more seating

by Kcas, over 7 years ago

Definitely needs shade and bbq areas. would be a big enough area for bike or scooter track over near the ovals that joins up with other footpaths along foreshore via a pedestrian crossing to shops. please keep swings and slides and maybe a seesaw and climbing spider Web.

    Shade Sails

by Jill, over 7 years ago

This is a great spot of a park and I am so pleased to hear an upgrade is finally happening. Shade sails over playground are very much needed, the trees do not give adequate cover from the sun as it moves and the equipment is often too hot for little hands and bodies. Extra shaded seating for picnics would be great too. Also get rid of large rocks near equipment, I know some parents sit on them but I have seen a few nasty accidents with small children too....look forward to the finished park!

    Upgrade needed

by Emm, over 7 years ago

i think this park is an asset to warnersbay but its very outdated i would love to see it child friendly of all ages 0 plus bigger kids. Would like to see a few more tables for the parents its a huge wide open space a great park in dire need of upgrading to suit the warnersbay ever growing population.

    Sun shelter over grass areas

by Viks2016, over 7 years ago

A lot of parks do not have adequate shade covering play areas (especially metal slides that become so hot they cause serious burns on unsuspecting toddlers!) but I would also love shaded areas on grass or surrounding the park so I can lay out a picnic rug for my baby whilst my toddler plays. Coverings over picnic benches are good but often they aren't being used as most parents with babies have to have space for their bubs to wander. Leafy trees or sun sails would be ideal :-)
