Valuable input from community information session

A Community Information Session was hosted on Wednesday 30 November from 6-9pm at the Charlton Christian College, Fassifern. View a summary of the powerpoint presentation.

The session was attended by fifteen community members and two representatives of the NSW SES. Information on the study and Council's role in the project was presented, along with the findings of the 2011 LT Creek Flood Study.

Community issues and concerns were discussed with the project team. The main concerns were potential dredging of the creek and possible impacts of flooding from the Newstan Colliery in the upstream area of the catchment.

Overall, both staff and attendees were pleased with how the session was run and the outcomes. This session was a great opportunity for the team to listen to local concerns and potential management options.
