Thank you for your valued feedback on the Draft City of Lake Macquarie Waste Strategy 2015-2023 and the Draft Hunter Region Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2014-2021.
Submissions have now closed.
The Draft City Strategy documents Council’s waste management direction to 2023. It describes existing and planned waste management facilities and services provided or supported by Council to manage the City’s waste.
The Draft Region Strategy documents opportunities for regional collaboration on waste management across the Hunter.
Following community consultation, the draft strategies are currently being reviewed and will be finalised in the coming months.
