Update on library outreach services

Thank you to all who provided feedback as part of the community consultation about our library outreach services. Based on declining participation and feedback gathered from the survey, Council will undertake some changes to Lake Mac Libraries' outreach services.

From 2 January 2024, 'The Rover' mobile library will be discontinued and we are working on new and improved ways to provide home delivery and digital mentoring services. This decision is part of our commitment to evolving and enhancing our services to meet the community's changing needs better.

We are introducing alternative outreach methods, including select home delivery, participation in local events, and the introduction of new services and materials for preschools, approved members, and nursing homes.
