Community and Cultural Facilities Strategy

FAQs

Council is reviewing community and cultural facilities so we can meet the needs of our growing community now and into the future.

Lake Macquarie City Council owns and operates 95 community and cultural facilities across the city. This includes community halls, multipurpose centres, childcare facilities, Scout halls, Meals on Wheels centres, and libraries. Community and cultural facilities provide places where people can meet, socialise, learn, and participate in a broad range of activities, events, and programs. Community and cultural facilities do not include beaches, parks and other outdoor spaces.
