Draft Blackalls Park Flying-fox Camp Management Plan
Consultation has concluded
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the draft Blackalls Park Flying-fox Camp Management Plan.
The Plan was adopted by the elected Council on Monday 27 March 2017.
For the past few years, grey-headed flying foxes have established a camp at Fennell Crescent, Blackalls Park. Council has been working with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and the local community on developing a plan to manage the camp at this location.
The Plan outlines the issues or concern to the community caused by the presence of a flying-fox camp at Blackalls Park, Council’s response, and measures that will be taken to manage the land and reduce conflict with the local community. It has been prepared in consultation with OEH, as well as the Blackalls Park community.
