Edgeworth Library

I started visiting this library 10 years ago and even though we've moved to Fishing Point I still visit Edgeworth because of the book club and the staff. The book club is very well run and staff are brilliant. Annual visit to Sydney Writers Festival is fantastic and above and beyond the call of duty. The book club has allowed me to expand the authors and genres that I read. I don't buy fiction books any more as I can get them at the library. I love the relaxed but efficient running of the library. More space would be lovely, not necessarily more books - a coffee shop would be great and more exhibition space where local artists could display their art and craft. The fact that it was so noisy this afternoon excites me rather worrys me. Parking is a problem. Rumor of shopfront library was concerning as we were worried our bookclub space would be gone but a space similar to Cardiff would be OK. Rumor that library could move across the road which would be good as there's more parking there and convenient to shops. I would be interested in other programs like craft, knitting or quilting. I love that there are always young children in the library unlike Toronto Library which should considered if a move away from the school next door is planned.
