About the project

A draft planning agreement between Council and Winten (No 21) Pty Ltd is open for feedback until 7 June 2026.

The draft planning agreement relates to development at 10 and 10C Woodford Street, Cameron Park.

As part of the draft agreement, Winten (the developer) is proposed to provide:

  • two local parks and playgrounds and a shared pathway, and
  • pay Council a monetary contribution per residential lot to be used to:
    • construct two new sports fields at 10 Turnbull Street, Edgeworth, including associated car parking and amenities
    • construct two new hardcourts and the upgrade of two existing hardcourts, including floodlights, at Gregory Park, 19 Hyndes Street, West Wallsend
    • provide public amenities or public services located within a nominated area as shown in Schedule 7 of the draft planning agreement.

Project background

In January 2024, development consent was granted for this subdivision, including 1,058 residential lots, three lots for future development, one lot for a future school, 16 public/drainage reserves (including two local park sites) and one residue lot. 

As a condition of development consent, the developer (Winten) was required to enter into a planning agreement with Council, in accordance with the terms of the offer made by the developer in October 2023. 

The planning agreement is on public exhibition until 7 June 2026.
