Improving over relocating.

Everything can be improved by throwing more money at increasing services, but just having the council mobile library visit the community centre next door could be an idea to increase awareness and availability of different reading and multimedia material.

Advertising the availability of www.ancestry.com on a dedicated computer. I had to have the librarian input the password, the last time I had access. After looking on http://library.lakemac.com.au/ecollections/ebooks I didn't know there were free Wi-Fi available.

Cutting your losses and wiping the slate clean of anyone with fees outstanding from items returned late.

What about having a drop-off bin (with a trolley inside to take items back to Edgeworth library) located inside Edgeworth Town Mall. Maybe even have a fortnightly kiosk of selected books to be loaned out.

I think where the Edgeworth Library is situated right now has run its course (as per Library Service Delivery Model Draft Report to Council June 2011 - page 8, item 16c) as there is no parking available out front. I used to stop there after shopping.

I assume it is still a requirement by the Edgeworth Primary School next door. So with this in mind, moving the library around the back to where the Life Education Centre is, would be acceptable. With ample space to build if required and parking and a short walk for the school children, and not near a main road. And if correct, I've heard the busses in the future will pick up the school children here too. Public access from Main Road may be a problem though.

P.S. eBooks could be easier to set-up and use. I have a pretty good understanding of technology, and I got lost.
