We’re preparing to revise the Area Plan for the West Wallsend and Holmesville Heritage Conservation Area (HCA) and invite your input.
Provide feedback on the recommendations in the draft Working Report, which outline changes to key Council documentation that will control future development in the area.
Provide feedback on your house structure observed from the streetscape for the draft Building Assessment Report and share any other local history you have. It will assist us to revise the document to further articulate the Heritage value of the area.
Council will revise the Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plan (DCP), specifically in relation to the West Wallsend and Holmesville HCA, based on the findings and recommendations of the Working Report and community feedback from this round of consultation.

If approved, Council will provide a resolution for to seek a Gateway determination to exhibit the draft Planning Proposal and Draft West Wallsend and Holmesville Heritage Conservation Area Development Control Plan together. It may take a number of months for the NSW Department of Planning and Environment to assess.
