Wyee District Park upgrade

Have your say on the draft Wyee District Park Master Plan, including the option to keep the two existing tennis courts or replace them with a multi-purpose court, by completing the short online survey by3 August 2026.

Project Overview

Council is upgrading and expanding Wyee Community Hall Reserve to better serve the growing community in our city's southwest. As part of this upgrade to a district-level park, the playground and skate park will be replaced and newly acquired land next to the reserve will support the expansion.

Feedback from the initial community consultation (September 2025 - February 2026) was considered by the project team along with site constraints, budget and Council requirements to prepare the master plan.

The existing tennis courts are currently underused, and intitial community consultation identified strong interest in more flexible and informal recreation opportunities. The master plan provides two options for the tennis court area.

Option 1 - Keep the existing two tennis courts

Note: the tennis courts are currently underused. If you prefer to keep the courts, please let us know ifyou have any suggestions on how to increase community usage.

Option 2 - Replace the two tennis courts with a multi-purpose court

Note: the multi-purpose court is proposed to include a basketball hoop, half tennis court and hit wall. The hard surface provides an area for ball sports, bike riding, scooting, rollerblading and other wheel-based activities.

The images below show the two options for the tennis court space. A more detailed version of the master plan and precendent images for the spaces can be found here.

Council has funding in the current 2025-2029 Delivery Program to progress design of this park upgrade. Delivery of the project is likely to be in stages, and will be subject to future funding priorities. The replacement of the skate park will be delivered as the first priority.
