  • Council and Transport for NSW join forces to shape Morisset's future

Council has partnered with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to prepare an Integrated Transport Plan for Morisset.

Development of the plan will be supported by a $250,000 grant from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

Transport is a key issue for the Morisset community and a critical piece in shaping the area’s growth.

Transport and Council will develop the plan to help address current transport issues, as well as support anticipated changes in land use, population and travel demand.

The plan will be informed by community feedback received through both Transport and Council engagement activities in the area. This includes the Mandalong Road upgrade preferred design display, the exhibition of the Hunter Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Plan and Council’s Morisset Place Strategy discussion paper.

It is expected the draft Morisset Integrated Transport Plan will be place on exhibition in the second half of 2026. This will provide opportunity for the community and other stakeholders to review the plan and share feedback.
