At the meeting on 10 July 2023, Council endorsed the planning proposal to include provisions for the ‘Placement of A-frame Signage on a Footpath’ under Schedule 2 – Exempt Development in the Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan (LMLEP) 2014. You can view the Council report online. The amendment came into force on 28 July 2023. 

The amendment to the planning proposal permits the placement of A-frame signs on footpaths in commercial zones without the need for development consent, subject to compliance with associated criteria. 

Submissions closed 3 April 2023.
